6th Grade Band
The 6th grade band consists of first year band students. The goal of the 6th grade band is to teach students basic music fundamentals.
7th Grade Band
The 7th grade band is for 2nd year students. The goal of the 7th grade band is to continue musical growth to prepare students for the more rigorous 8th grade band. Students in 7th grade have the opportunity to audition for the Jazz Ensemble, Midstate, and other extra curricular groups.
8th Grade Band
The 8th Grade band is the PSMS flagship ensemble. This group is the most experienced group of students and the most visible in the community. 8th Grade students perform at home football games, Christmas Parade (tentatively), Concert Performance Assessment and more! Much of this year is dedicated to preparing students for the award winning Cookeville High School Band.
